David J. Erwin, MA, MDiv, founder of Anam Cara of Rhode Island, has been involved in holistic practices for nearly two decades. He is dedicated to helping his clients achieve balance and wellness in their lives through self-discovery and self-knowledge, and through the mindful application of aromatherapy, Reiki Jin Kei Do, and other holistic healing modalities. He is also licensed to perform marriage services in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

David earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Providence College, and a Masters of Divinity through the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). He currently employs his healing skills as a mental health clinician in both private and hospital practice. He studied Reiki with Patricia Warren, and is a certified Reiki Master in the Reiki Jin Kei Do tradition. His diverse educational and professional background informs all of his holistic services, allowing him to work effectively with clients to address problems at the emotional, mental, and physical levels.

Anam Cara is the culmination of David's own journey of discovery. His innate love of herbs, aromatherapy, and flower essences has fueled his extensive research and hours of formulative play. Now, he brings his accumulated knowledge and experience to the community at large.
